MiboxerSPIR3 3-in-1 SPI LED controller 5-24V for WS2812 / SK6812 pixel LED strips
SPIR3 Digital LED Strip Controller 2.4GHz
The SPIR3 is a digital LED strip controller designed to control SPI LED strips, also known as digital or pixel LED strips. These are LED strips where each LED can be controlled individually, enabling special lighting effects and animations. To use a digital LED strip, you need a digital LED strip controller such as the SPIR3.
The SPIR3 controller operates via 2.4GHz RF and is compatible with MiBoxer SPI remote controls, such as the Miboxer C6. This allows you to control the lighting wirelessly and reliably without additional cabling or network connections.
The SPIR3 supports multiple types of digital LED chipsets and is suitable for 5V to 24V LED systems (depending on the strip used). This makes the controller suitable for both simple and more advanced LED installations. The controller supports WS2811 up to WS2815 and can operate in Single Color mode (max. 2048 pixels), RGB mode (max. 1536 pixels), or RGBW mode (max. 1024 pixels).
Applications
The SPIR3, in combination with the MiBoxer C6 remote (sold separately), is a practical and reliable controller for all your projects using digital LED strips or digital neon. Suitable for various digital LED applications where reliability is key, such as facade lighting, advertising lighting, interior projects, hospitality, exhibitions, etc.
Connection
The SPIR3 is installed directly between the power supply and the digital LED strip. The supply voltage (5V to 24V, depending on the LED strip) is connected to the DC input of the controller. Always ensure that voltage and polarity are correct to prevent damage. For larger installations, you may also choose to connect the power supply directly to the LED strips instead of routing it through the controller, to prevent excessive current through the controller.
The digital LED strip is connected to the output, ensuring that the correct signal lines (DATA, optionally CLOCK and GND) match the specifications of the LED strip used. The controller automatically detects the chipset type. The number of pixels can be configured so that lighting effects match the exact length of your LED strip.
For stable operation, it is recommended to keep wiring as short as possible and, for longer installations, to inject additional power into the strips approximately every +/- 10 meters to prevent voltage drop. If data cables need to be very long, we recommend using an amplifier such as the SP901E. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us for advice or a wiring diagram—we are happy to help.
Pairing with the remote control: Order a MiBoxer C6 remote to control the controller. Pairing is very simple: briefly press the "SET" button to put the controller into "linking mode". Then press the desired zone button on the C6 remote 3 times briefly. The LED strip will flash green to indicate that the remote has been successfully paired with the controller.
