What is Dual White (CCT) LED Neon Flex?
Dual White LED Neon Flex – also called CCT LED Neon or tunable white LED neon – combines two white light channels in a flexible neon tube. Typically, these are warm white (~2700K) and cool white (~6500K). By adjusting these two channels, you can achieve any desired white tone, for example 3000K for cozy lighting or 4000K for clear functional light.
The main advantage of Dual White LED Neon Flex is its flexibility: you always have the right light color for every situation. During the day, bright white light provides clear visibility, while in the evening you can switch to a warmer, more comfortable ambiance.
Where can you use Dual White LED Neon Flex?
Dual White LED Neon Flex is often used in spaces where both atmosphere and functional lighting are important. Typical applications include kitchens, ceiling coves, under cabinets, and decorative accent lines along walls.
It is also popular in commercial settings such as shops, restaurants, hotels, and showrooms. With just one click, you can adjust the lighting to match the desired mood. During the day, you can use bright white for functional light, and in the evening switch to a warmer, cozier tone.
Thanks to the flexible silicone housing, LED Neon Flex can be bent into curves, making it ideal for light lines, contour lighting, illuminated shapes, or signage.
Difference between LED strip and LED Neon Flex
Standard LED strips show visible individual LEDs and are often placed in profiles to diffuse the light. LED Neon Flex has a diffuse silicone housing that spreads the light evenly, creating a clear, neon-like line without visible LED points.
LED Neon Flex is also more robust and better suited for visible applications. Many versions are waterproof (IP67) and can be used outdoors.
How to connect Dual White LED Neon Flex
Dual White LED Neon Flex runs on 24V, so you need a suitable 24V power supply with enough output for the total length of the neon.
You also need a Dual White LED controller to operate the warm white and cool white channels separately, so you can adjust brightness and color temperature. Controllers can be operated via remote control, wall panel, or smart home system.
If you cut or shorten the neon yourself, you must solder a connection cable with three wires: V+, warm white, and cool white. After soldering, you can seal the connection with end caps and silicone sealant for waterproofing.
Installing LED Neon Flex
LED Neon Flex can be installed using mounting clips, aluminum profiles, or flexible profiles to achieve straight lines, curves, or creative shapes. Its flexible silicone housing allows smooth bending, making it perfect for decorative light lines along walls, ceilings, or floors, as well as illuminated letters or shapes.
